FRIDAY FEST AT HOLLYWOOD, FL BROADWALK
Thursday, October 09, 2008

Looking for something fun to do in South Florida without having to spend a lot of money? There are many cool things going on down by Hollywood Beach which is conveniently located between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.
The second and fourth Fridays of the month Hollywood Beach Theatre at Johnson Street is having live music on the beach from 7-10pm; admission is free. On October 10th, they are featuring Marcel Anton & Lost Tribe and on October 24th, Lanzallamas.
The newly renovated Hollywood Beach is beautiful. You can go to enjoy the live music, then stroll down the boardwalk, stopping at the numerous shops and dining at the great restaurants that serve everything from sushi to pizza. (Angelo’s Pizza is a landmark!).
You can visit Charnow Park if you have children with you; the park has been completely renovated and is ready for your tykes to enjoy. If a more adult setting is your scene, pop into Nick’s for some great food, drinks and fun.
If Classic Cars are more your speed, Hollywood Beach is featuring Classic Cruise Night on Hollywood Beach Boardwalk on the fourth Friday of each month from 6-10pm. This is a pre-1978 classic car show. Cars must register to participate. Car entrance is at Harrison Street. Admission is free.
