Shopping and Dining

Cooper City features a small but interesting collection of shops and restaurants. Among the favorite local shops are the Cooper City Antique Mall for fine art and antiques and Cooper City Jewelry. 
Cooper City also offers a variety of eateries including Asian, Italian, Latin and American cuisine. Some local favorites include China City for Chinese food, Alfredo's Pizza & Restaurant for Italian and Casa Campesina Restaurant for Latin American-Spanish cuisine.


Parks and Recreation

The Cooper City Recreational Department provides an assorted variety of leisure activities, recreational services and programs for local residents.
The Bill Lips Sports Complex is 10 acres and features baseball/softball fields, football/soccer fields and a large playground. Cooper City Sports Complex is almost 20 acres and has baseball/softball fields, football fields, lighted basketball courts, playground, roller hockey rinks and soccer fields. Cooper City Pool and Tennis Center is 5.5 acres and has 2 lighted basketball courts, 2 lighted volleyball courts, 8 lighted tennis courts, a fitness room, a pool and a playground. Forest Lake Park is 7.5 acres and features a 1/3 mile jogging path, basketball courts, playground, tennis courts and a walking/bike trail.


Schools, Health, Transportation

School age children in Cooper City attend Broward County Public Schools, which is the sixth largest public school district system in the United States and the second largest in the state of Florida. Cooper City boasts some of the highest rated schools in the state. Cooper City Elementary School serves children PK-5th grade. Pioneer Middle School serves children 6-8th grade. And Cooper City High School serves children 9-12th grade.
Broward County offers a number of excellent hospitals and health care facilities. These include Memorial Hospital in Pembroke Pines, Memorial Hospital West in Pembroke Pines and Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.
Cooper City is a 25 minute drive from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport which offers non-stop service to 125 U.S. cities and flights to Canada, Bahamas, Caribbean, Mexico, Latin America, Europe and more.
