Biking is becoming more and more popular as a way of getting around Miami Beach, but for those without bikes, Miami-Dade Transit operates public busses and Metrorail stations for commuters and quick trips to nearby airports. For domestic and international flights, there is the Miami International Airport, which is about 12 miles west of Miami Beach. The Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is about 30 miles north.
