TO HOST OPEN HOUSE
Weston, FL- October 13, 2008 - The Women's Business Mastermind Group (WBMG), West Broward Chapter (
www.womensbusinessmastermind.com), is pleased to announce the first of several events it's hosting for the Susan B. Anthony Recovery Center, starting with an open house at
The Center to support the organization.
The Center is a residential home for women with children and pregnant women recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.
The open house fundraising event, designed to create community awareness of
The Center, is scheduled for
Thursday, October 16, 2008 from 6:30pm – 8:30pm. Join the staff and volunteers from The Center for food, fun, raffles, networking with the community and most importantly, the opportunity to learn more about the Susan B. Anthony Recovery Center. Financial donations will be accepted in addition to other items such as gift cards, diapers, babies’ and children's toys.
In addition to the Open House, The West Broward WBMG Chapter members are contributing their knowledge and skills to mentor the ladies in recovery at The Center by offering workshops. Workshop topics will include resume writing, budgeting, renting a home, tenant- landlord issues, identity theft protection, health and wellness, make-up application for the workplace, and the protection of one’s legal rights. Additionally, Casey Moroney from Stylin’ Interiors (a West Broward member), will be sprucing up the Recovery Center lobby with help from the group.
