How the Bithell-Stalmach Team achieved No. 1 status in sales in a challenging market.
(Hollywood, FL) – Ellen Bithell and Agnes Stalmach, better known as the Bithell-Stalmach Team of RE/MAX Executive Realty, Hollywood, was recently named the No. 1 top-producing team in sales among all RE/MAX offices in the entire Florida region for 2007.
The honor is considered a particular coup given that the team’s home turf, South Florida, is no longer experiencing the frenzied sales pace of years past. By 2007 year’s end, sales of existing single-family homes in the Miami market reported an overall decline of 39 percent, according to end-of-year figures released by the Florida Association of Realtors (FAR). The only other market in the state, according to the stats, to report a sharper decline was Ocala at 44 percent.
So, how does a team based in one of the toughest markets in the state rise to the top? “The Bithell-Stalmach Team understands the current market and knows it holds a vast number of incredible opportunities that were not available just a short while ago. There has truly never been a better time to buy,” said Stalmach.
She went on to explain that inventory in the current market is high, prices are good and many financing options are available to both new and repeat buyers, all factors that render the market ripe for buying.
The team also knows how to take full advantage of modern technology to stay abreast of the market as well as to aggressively market each of their listings. At the same time, the Bithell-Stalmach Team is renowned for its good old-fashioned customer care, with an emphasis on “care.”
“Sometimes I forget I’m in the business of selling,” says Bithell, who has been in the business of selling homes for more than a decade. “My main goal is to make people happy. I focus on matching the right buyer with the right home, whether it be a starter home or a million dollar move-up mansion. And in this market, there are a number of options that are priced right for my clients to choose from.”
A large number of Bithell’s recent clients are buyers who didn’t even realize they had the means to buy a home. But by utilizing a variety of little-known bond, grant and other generous finance tools available to both new and repeat buyers, Bithell was able to turn a number of renters into homebuyers, as well as assist current homeowners with “move-ups.”
“For me there is no bigger thrill than matching a buyer with a home they love at a price they can afford,” beamed Bithell. “Having said that, it is equally thrilling to be able to assist my clients in selling a home, no matter what the market conditions are.”
While Bithell’s expertise lies in residential sales and short sales, Stalmach specializes in multi-family properties of all types. The team also consists of other professionals that includes two full-time buyers’ agents along with advertising and marketing specialists.
And the entire team not only shares sales leaders’ Bithell’s and Stalmach’s attitudes, they also share their kind of success. For example, Alex Bruno, one of the team’s buyer’s agents, closed a whopping 39 transactions in 2007.
Bruno, who is bilingual, credits at least some of his success to being part of a team that is fluent in seven languages and can accommodate customers and clients from virtually all over the world.

The team also credits their success to being full-time career Realtors in a profession that’s often brimming with part-time agents and moonlighters. Both Stalmach and Bithell have earned the elite CRS designations and have been named to the RE/MAX 100% Club as multi-million dollar producers.
In addition to their more-than-full-time careers as Realtors, the team always finds ways to give back to the community. Stalmach is also active in the Rotary Club.
